Edit DECISION list
Throughout our trailer, there are intermittent scenes between the linear sequence and the non linear sequence, this is similar to our Opening Title Sequence 'Delirium' in which we alternated between different story lines. We chose to do the same sort of thing with our trailer as we felt that it worked really well and gave the trailer some depth, which would have been lost with a single story line. We decided not to put any definitive differences in the transitions between the sequences as we felt that it would look better if there wasn't any flashy effects separating the two different sequences. We added a number of effects to the clips of the linear sequence to show visually that there were two different storylines within the trailer.
During the shot with the Yurei grabbing Jacob from behind, we chose to speed the clip up as it gives the effect that the Yurei is not normal as we would see them with somewhat "superhuman powers". To make the clip of Jacob shaking his head uncontrollably was shot as a continuous clip with Jacob turning his head in different directions. This shot was shortened and sped up, we then layered on different clips of Jacob holding his head in his hand, which was then separated by flash effects. On all of the scenes with blood in them, we used an effect called Crisp contrast, this gave the effect that the blood, which was bright red in colour before adding the effect, into a dark, crimson blood with shine, this gives it the effect that the blood is real.

Also throughout our trailer he had to use other key editing techniques to make sure the rest of the trailer was right, was to make sure the linear had the right effect to pull off the effect we wanted it to. The effect we used on all of our linear shots was "cold steel" simailer to what is used in actual trailers, this effect makes the brighter lighting seem darker and more mysterious, this affected the shots by making them seem like they were inside the head of Jacob, as the dark and gloomy scenes were hard to make out everything other than what it was you were meant to see. We did use this effect on each linear shot to keep the same pattern and effect going, otherwise the lighting would have seemed different or off.
