Production Company REsearch
The Production Company is in charge of the budget, planning and filming of a project, they are also responsible for the post-production and marketing of the film. There are many different production companies and we will be researching a few below.
Hammer
Founded in 1934, but didn't start producing horror films until the 1950's. They are responsible for films such as 'Dracula' (1958), the 'Mummy' franchise (1959-1971), 'Let Me In' (2010) and 'The Woman in Black' (2012) and its sequel 'The Woman in Black: Angels of Death' (2015). The logo itself features iconic horror characters from the films it has produced, such as Dracula

Ghost house

Notable for films such as 'The Evil dead'(1981), 'The Grudge' (2004), 'The Possession' (2012) and 'Drag me to Hell' (2009). The short sequence is full of iconic horror images such as the self slamming door which reflects a paranormal presence,low lighted room, old fashioned door and key hole to represent mystery and the skeleton which represents death which is a recurring feature in horror films.

Twisted pictures
Twisted pictures is perhaps most recognised as the production company of the 'Saw' franchise (2004-2010) but they are also known for 'Texas Chainsaw 3D" (2013) and 'Dead Silence' (2007). The use of barbed wire is significant as it cements the use of torture that we see in the 'Saw' franchise.
